Tell us a bit about yourself like who you are and where you're from.Hey, my name is Berry, I´m actually really a male cosplayer (and not a girl who did a good job ;D) and I´m studying fashion design in Germany. At the time when this will be published I´m probably 23 years old

and while I´m not saving peasants with huge puffy sleeves I live a normal live together with my gf *
Jibril-CosplayHow long have you been cosplaying?I made my first cosplay for a german book fair in 2009, didn’t cosplay anymore since last year to concentrate on my graduation and will hopefully start again this week @_@
How did you get into cosplay?I was visiting the book fair mentioned above in 2008 as a normal bookworm and couldn’t believe my eyes when I actually saw young people running around as my favorite bleach characters. I kinda wanted to hug all of them cause it made me feel so good seeing the characters I love most as real persons, and so I decided that I wanted to do the same next year (without knowing what it was, of course ;D)
What is your favorite cosplay?Reyson, from the Fire Emblem Games 9&10. Even though he was completely useless in the game and I got him killed like every time, I loved him from the beginning and decided, that one day I would be cosplaying him. I still can´t believe that I really managed to craft this costume cause the wings were the most troublesome thing I´ve ever made, but every time I´m going to sleep I see the wings rotting on our wardrobe and I´m just happy
What is your least favorite cosplay? This is something, I don’t really like to talk about, since its… well… little bit embarrassing… I was just at the beginning of my cosplay career, knowing nothing about the scene… but I thought, I wanted to do something special which was never done before and totally strange… so I decided to cosplay a girl with a bra and fake boobs… I think it was also the first real anime convention I visited… and I went there full of pride, all people would have to stare at me since I´m the first guy ever who dares to cosplay a female… well… and then I was standing between hundreds of bearded princesses… and decided to never ever do that again in my life.
What is your fondest cosplay memory?I think it was when I visited a con together with my gf (who wasn’t my gf at this point). When we were on our way home she forgot her beauty box in the train and I took it with me, but couldn’t find her afterwards. (We actually only knew the name of each other). The day I could finally give it back to her was the day we ended up as a couple. It might not absolutely be a memory about cosplaying, but it´s still the most important one for me when I think about cosplay <3
What is your worst cosplay memory?Don’t feel like talking about that ;D
Best part of cosplaying?I think the best part is the ability to be proud of yourself. It`s beautiful to see yourself in the costume you worked months for on a great picture, it´s like the ultimate reward for the hard work. I wasn’t really confident when I started cosplaying, and it was even worse when people came to me on my first con wanting to take a picture. I didn’t know that this was common, and I was thinking… whaaaaaat, do I look so creepy that you have to show it your parents as well? Today, I´m always happy if someone takes a photo of me, even if it´s with a mobile phone, cause it tells me that I made a good job and people want to look at me a second time.
Worst part of cosplaying?People, who only push their ego by defaming others. No one should need to do that, since there´s no wrong or right when it comes to cosplaying… even if we try our hardest, nobody will be able to be the real Sailor Moon… even if it`s my dream since I was ehh, of course I meant even if it’s the dream of each little girl…
The only thing that matters is that you feel good with what you´re doing, then you won´t need to talk bad about others ^^
Tell us a bit about the cosplay and photo that won the theme contest.I love those costumes *-* they are just perfect for me. It was the first time I cosplayed a real couple with my gf (screw u greys anatomy doctor, nobody needs u! this is how it should have been >D) and I don’t only love the photo, it was great to wear it since most people have watched the movie Enchanted and knew what you were doing, and crafting it was great as well, since we worked together on the costumes and its always more fun doing something together with a person u love instead of having to share your fun with your sewing machine
And last but not least, any advice for the cosplayers reading this? The most important thing is: love yourself the way you are. Don´t belittle yourself just to be accepted by the community, be yourself and love the things you do and the right people will eventually reply your feelings. It´s ten-thousand times better to hear a compliment from someone who respects you the way you are than forcing such comments by doing the things which the community wants you to do. And don’t take drugs of course

Thats all for now folks. Don't forget to visit the galleries of all these lovely cosplayers and fav their work! And don't forget to vote either! ^_^
Have a very nice day!
